If you are hurt in a parking lot, we have the experience and expertise to help. Below are a few examples of conditions that can be dangerous in a parking lot.
Parking Stops
Parking stops are used to help cars not pull too far into a parking space. Unfortunately, they are low to the ground and often not detected by people walking in the parking lot. Also, some parking stops are not marked so that they can be easily seen. Parking stops can cause somebody to trip and fall. If this has happened to you, we are available to help.
Potholes & Uneven Surfaces
Parking lots can be filled with uneven surfaces including cracks, potholes and other hazards. The business should take care to maintain the parking lot and ensure that it fixes or warns of any hazards that exist. Uneven surfaces and other hazards can cause somebody to trip and fall. If this has happened to you, we are available to help.
Poor Lighting
Parking lots are large areas with many hazards. Lights should be adequate to allow a person to see what hazards exist. If a business does not maintain the lights or fails to install adequate lights, it can cause somebody to trip and fall. If this has happened to you, we are available to help.
Sidewalk & Parking Lot Transitions
Most parking lots will transition into a walkway or sidewalk. This transition will result in a step up or sometimes a ramp. Uneven surfaces that are not adequately marked or transitions that are uneven can be dangerous and cause somebody to trip and fall. If this has happened to you, we are available to help.
